Just incase you were wondering -
Watching too much TV can cause depressionLink..Watching TV can increase the risk of depression warn scientists.
A study by Harvard University found inactivity can cause a range of emotional and physical symptoms associated with the condition.
Whereas exercise has a positive impact boosting self-esteem, sense of control and endorphin levels.According to the study, published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, women who regularly exercised were around 20 per cent less likely to get depression compared to those who rarely exercised.Close to 50,000 women were surveyed every couple of years from 1992 to 2006 as part of the U.S. Nurses' Health Study.Lead author Michel Lucas said: 'Higher levels of physical activity were associated with lower depression risk.'Participants recorded the amount of time they spent watching TV each week in 1992, and answered questions about how often they walked, biked, ran and swam between 1992 and 2000.At the same time, women were asked  to report any new cases of clinical depression or medication taken to treat depression.

Apparently, that advice is just not getting out or they are advertising on the wrong media. It is common knowledge and that has been the case since the advent of the idiot box. Although these days it's more littered with propaganda and politically correct images and language..

One of the major issues is ofcourse those nasty little sitcoms and serials that promote the feminist doctrinal messages like most of the current movies coming out of Hollywood. Loaded with sickening and in most cases, pathetic examples of males while at the same time promoting women via enhanced positions of being in charge of any given situation (see real life), while men and boys are demonstrated to be minions of the far superior female version. That would depress anyone as reality tells us differently..

Apart from that, we have the usual medical news and nothing appears to have changed much there at all..

Now where have I seen that 1 in 4 comparison again, I wonder..

The drug use and depression levels is not good, some suffer purely because their brain does not produce sufficient amounts of a particular chemical or worse, you inherit something nasty from one of your relatives via DNA. The outcome is the same. Others just worry themselves into depression and that is not good either but that can also be treated. The problem today is that too many drugs are being prescribed, but way too many are of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with them anyway and ignore bleeding obvious signs and good advice. It's messy..

More than one in four American women took at least one drug for conditions like anxiety and depression last year, according to an analysis of prescription data.
The report, by pharmacy benefits manager Medco Health Solutions Inc, found the use of drugs for psychiatric and behavioral disorders in all adults rose 22per cent from 2001.
The medications are most often prescribed to women aged 45 and older

On the rise: A bar graph showing the increase in the number of Americans using mental health medication between 2001 and 2010. There are considerably more women doing so than men

In total, more than 20per cent of American adults were found to be on at least one drug for mental health disorders.
A number of celebrities have gone public in recent years with their battles with mental health disorders.
They include Catherin Zeta-Jones, who was treated for a form of bipolar disorder earlier this year due to the stress of coping with her husband Michael Douglas's fight with cancer.
Model Brooke Shields admitted suffering postpartum depression after the birth of her baby in 2003, while fellow big screen icon Carrie Fisher, of Star Wars fame, told how she had turned to electroshock therapy to treat the worst symptoms of her chronic depression.

This is probably a good explanation of why women are not happy. It would appear also that if 25% of the opposite sex is on some drug or another, it would explain why this blog would occasionally have one surface now and again. The odds are just too great.
